Abstract

This paper reflects on my internship experience at Stamford Hospital during the summer of 2024, highlighting both achievements and challenges encountered. Initially, my objectives centered on gaining insights into medical research, data collection, and healthcare practices. Through hands-on experience with data management, protocol writing, and literature review, I developed key skills applicable to the healthcare field. Despite limited opportunities for patient interaction and shadowing physicians, the internship fostered significant growth in time management, self-motivation, and collaborative problem-solving. The experience underscored the value of proactive learning and professional networking, contributing to a deeper understanding of clinical research and its practical applications.
