Abstract

I had the opportunity to intern for the field team of the Sara Gideon Campaign for Senate. I would highly recommend this experience. I have learned so much about how campaigns are run as well as important elements of community organizing and mobilization. Professionally, I have learned skills I can see myself applying in future career endeavors including technical, leadership, self-advocacy, delegation, and organizational skills. I feel passionate about the work I did this summer and this experience motivates me to continue to pursue community organizing as a career path and supplement my education at Connecticut College with related courses.
