David Dorfman Dance is a modern dance company founded by Connecticut College Professor David Dorfman. The company, currently consisting of five dancers, four band members, and David, performs around the country and world, holds residencies at Connecticut College and other universities, and has two dance intensives during the year. DDD creates movement that is humanistic and meaningful, with a commitment to creating dialogue about social change and inclusion. As an administrative intern I worked remotely in fundraising, marketing, and outreach to promote DDD, our summer events, and connect with our constituents. I assisted with planning the summer dance intensive, worked to prepare for a fall fundraising campaign, and assisted with other every day tasks of a dance company. This internship reflected my academic majors and interests, while providing me with a professional environment to further my personal career goals and skills.
