Abstract

As a research assistant for Coaching 2 Connect--an executive coaching firm located out in Ontario-- I had the opportunity to work alongside Mr. Marc Guevremont and various athletes from other schools. The research of this internship allowed me to bridge my two interests of psychology and athletics, as I was researching the psychological effects of sports related injuries on athletes. As I am pursuing Occupational Therapy, more specifically within the sports medicine department, I believe my research executed in this internship has given me the experience of understanding the psychological side of sports related injuries on athletes and their wellbeing, which is just as-- if not more-- important than the physical aspect.
