Abstract

As an intern and gallery assistant, I was tasked with opening the gallery on certain days, making sure everything was presentable for visitors. Checking the weekly to-do list (emails, packages, clients). I also was responsible for helping move, package, and install art pieces and exhibitions.

Highly recommend this internship opportunity. Tripoli is a very well-connected and established art gallery owner. His work ethic is very consistent and fun to work with. The people you make contact with are very influential and talented as well. I was working there in the spring so it was a little less active but in the summer business is booming and there are a lot of opportunities to further your knowledge about the art world and make plenty of connections.

I was offered a full-time position. However, I was busy juggling two other jobs and renting my house, so I, unfortunately, had to postpone my return. While I was there, I had been offered by two artists to help them with studio time. Tripoli is a great contact to have, I am sure I will cross paths with him again after college.
