Abstract
Schaperow Psychology & Associates is a mental health counseling office located in Waterford, CT. There are several counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists who work in the office and specialize in different areas. I worked specifically with Danielle Montemerlo, a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC). As an intern, I mainly sat in on sessions with the clients that consented to my presence and routinely spoke with Danielle about my notes, questions, and ideas. During times throughout the day that clients did not want me to be in the room, I did individual research on different mental health disorders, either through the DSM-V or online databases. After my individual research, we discussed my findings and any questions I may have. This paper is a reflection of my experience working with them as an intern during the summer of 2022.
