Abstract

This summer I used my career funding to work towards my EMT license. I have passed my course, passed the state psychomotor exam and now eagerly await the NREMT. I have learned critical skills that will help me in my post-graduate plans to gain medical experience and patient care hours. Over the course of the summer I learned the basics of medical care, numerous medical and trauma interventions, the chain of command in EMS, and gained an appreciation for the field of emergency medicine.
