Abstract
The New London County Historical Society is an organization that works to share the local history of the New London area as well as preserve artifacts in their extensive collections. The historical society is located at the historic Shaw Mansion in New London, CT. The society also researches the importance the Thames River and Long Island Sound played and still play in flourishing the nearby community. I was tasked with helping organize and create a documentary about privateering in the Revolutionary War with a focus on the General Putnam, a ship based out of New London, CT. I met remotely with the Executive Director, Steve Manuel, to discuss the documentary. I did research around the topic and wrote the script with assistance from Steve. My main focus was editing and piecing together the documentary in iMovie. I had control over the production and design of the film.
