Abstract

This summer my internship at the Division of Scientific Services for the State of Connecticut was postponed due to COVID-19. When safe to being my internship at the CT Forensic Lab, I will be working on a project within the Identification Section. The units in this section are Latent Prints, Firearms, Computer Crimes, Multimedia, Imprints, and Questioned Documents. I do not know what I will be doing specifically at the lab, but I am excited to eventually get to go in-person and complete the assignment. As a result of my internship being postponed, I decided to create my own experience and research the different units within the forensic lab in addition to some other interests I have within forensics/criminal justice as a whole. Each week, I researched one aspect of forensic science, wrote research summaries of my findings and sent them to my faculty sponsor.
