Abstract

In this paper, I reflect on my 8-week Introductory Russian immersion program with Middlebury Language Schools, which took place on-line due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Summer of 2020. During these 8 weeks students learned about the Russian language and culture, while also studying on their own at a rapid speed. I was a student and was therefore expected to show up to and participate in class every weekday, complete homework assignments and exams and collaborate well with my fellow peers. I would highly recommend this course. The program is a very effective way to learn or improve upon language skills.
