Abstract

As everyone already knows, 2020 has been incredibly hectic due to COVID-19. Looking for a summer internship was no exception to that. I was studying abroad in Barcelona during the second semester before getting sent home early due to the breakout. Prior to that though, applying for internships while in Spain was a hassle because all of my interviews I had were on the phone or on zoom and the time change made scheduling those interviews quite a disaster. Returning home early due to Covid-19 and frantically applying for internships was an additional hurdle. Last second I was invited for a Zoom interview with a developing non-profit organization called “Wright’s Resumes and Connections” for a position of HR Data Specialist. After preparing vigorously for the interview, realizing it may be my last chance to get an internship for that summer, I did very well and got the position.
