Abstract

Platt Psychiatric Associates provides psychiatric services and medication for private patients and conducts psychiatric evaluations for students that will then be used to identify accommodations and services to help the child succeed in school in spite of their mental illness or disability. I highly recommend this internship to another Connecticut College student. This is a great opportunity to gain professional experience in a mental health setting and learn how to work with patients/clients. I am extremely satisfied with the experience I have gained and will be able to put on my resume. I feel much more confident working with patients, conducting psychiatric evaluations, writing reports, and more.
