Abstract

Along with renewing my CPR certification, I took a self-paced online refresher course before using a test preparation subscription to study for the NREMT exam. After obtaining my certification, I applied to and was offered a volunteer stipend position with Waterford Ambulance Service where I am currently precepting calls with Field Training Officers in my spare time. Once training has been completed, I will move to a part-time/per diem position with the service. Responsibilities include patient care, taking vitals, medical interventions when needed, patient care reports, and transfer of care.
