Abstract
I interned for the Center for Disease Control which is a federal government agency. Their purpose is to protect the health of the public by conducting research and dispersing important health information. The specific initiative that I worked for within the CDC was called the "Learn the Signs, Act Early" initiative. Our goal was to improve early detection of developmental delays in young children so that they could benefit from early intervention.
