Abstract

This summer, I interned for both the New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault and LifeSpan through Brown University. My internship at the NYCAASA was unfortunately canceled in June because they were unable to pay their employees. Lifespan’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Services offers a full range of assessment and treatment options to address the mental, emotional and behavioral problems that occur throughout life. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of care. The New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault strives to prevent sexual violence and reduce the harm it causes through education, research, and advocacy.
