Abstract
The Pediatric Partial Program is a day program within Bradley hospital designed for children ages 3-7 who are in need of intensive behavioral and developmental assistance. The partial program is considered to be one step down from an inpatient unit, where the children can still go home at night and on the weekends, but are expected to spend every weekday within the program. I assisted the other staff on the program floor and interacted with the children. Much of my internship was unstructured observation and interaction with the patients, but I also had the chance to discuss some of these observations with other staff members and the psychologists on the team. To begin working at Bradley, I also needed to complete a rigorous 40 hour orientation in first aid, CPR, safety restraints, and trauma-informed care.
