Abstract

A huge problem in the academic world is the lack of access to the research that gets done. Access is either gated via an expensive paywall, or the papers are simply inaccessible because they are written in such a way that they can only be understood by other academics in the same field. If an economist tried to read a biology paper, they would have a hard time, so imagine how much harder it is for anyone else, who is not frequently reading and writing other academic papers. This is where Simply Neuroscience comes in. Through Simply Neuroscience, I worked on their podcast, Every Kind of Mind. I reached out to other podcasts, and professionals in the field of psychology and mental health as possible guests to host on the podcast.
