Abstract

During the summer, I took a CNA course. The course included learning medical information relevant to the CNA scope of practice and a clinical component. For the clinical component, we practiced skills on a mannequin and went to two clinical sites. At the clinical sites, we shadowed a CNA and performed the clinical skills with their supervision. At the end of the course, I decided to take the Certification exam. It was a great experience and further confirmed my passion for the medical field. I hope to use my CNA license to get a job at the hospital or at a facility.
