Abstract

This past summer I interned at Fauna Forever in the Madre de Dios region in Peru. Through this internship I did more field work than I have ever done . I was in the field for around 8 hours a day and during those times I would learn about medicinal plants in that region and about what they were meant for by the native communities. Additionally I helped catalog trees for carbon credit companies.
