Abstract

This paper is a reflection on an international internship experience at Prometra France, an international non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of African traditional medicine and indigenous science. As an internship experience that was intended for SIP research under the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts (CISLA), this internship report is an introspective look as to how the SIP project has evolved, where the thinking process is today and the personal benefits that came with studying in an intercultural, international organization dedicated to a deeply interesting cause such as the protection and promotion of West-African traditional medicine and healing practices.
