Abstract
I interned with the Prospect Park Alliance (PPA), a non-profit organization that works to maintain Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York and ensure that it remains sustainable and ecologically resilient. I interned specifically with the Landscape Management Office of PPA, which deals with forest health monitoring and invasive plant management. As an Ecological Restoration Intern, my work consisted of conducting assessments of various sites throughout the park, recording invasive and native plant and tree presence to better understand the ecological health of the site. I learned so much about urban parks, urban ecology, and invasive and native plant species during this internship.
