Abstract
From May to July of 2023, I interned at the Hertie Graduate School of Governance in Berlin. Interning at the Hertie School was characterized by its warm environment, diversity of knowledge amongst its researchers, and high-profile connections in the international community. As an intern, I was trusted with administrative organization, uploading security briefs and newsletters, assisting in research on nuclear weapons classification and performing literature reviews, and many more. The Hertie School internship provided me unique insight into the differences between the American and the German work environment, allowed me to continue developing German proficiency, and ensured my interest in the field of International Relations, both in regards to working in the field as well as pursuing a Master’s Degree.
