Abstract
Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a part of Partners HealthCare which includes numerous hospitals and healthcare centers throughout Boston, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The main campus is located in Downtown Boston and is consistently ranked as one of the best hospitals in the country.
As a Medical Assistant in MGH Primary Care, I performed a wide range of tasks that assisted both healthcare providers and patients. I obtained vital signs on many patients everyday, as well as performed Point of Care Testing and procedures, such as EKGs. In addition, I refilled prescriptions and completed documentation, while following HIPAA guidelines.
