Abstract
This summer, I interned with a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Montpellier, France, by the name of Famille au Grand Coeur (Family with a Big Heart). The organization’s mission is to welcome, accompany, and aid queer asylum seekers in France. As an intern, my responsibilities were varied. I planned events, accompanied members to appointments, and translated important meetings with lawyers and business partners, among other responsibilities. This was an amazing experience that I feel so lucky to have had.
