Abstract
I worked as an Arts Integration Instructor at RISE Arts Center of Baltimore which specifically does arts programming with minority and nuerodivergent youth. In my time at RISE I experienced ableist and homophobic behavior as well as witnessing the maltreatment of nuerodivergent students. I did my best to teach and protect my students. Not every worthwhile experience has to be positive and I still did learn a lot from working at RISE.
