Abstract
This reflection explores my experience with an internship and volunteer work, highlighting the evolution of my career interests. Initially engaged in voter registration canvassing with the nonprofit organization TurnUp, I faced challenges that tested my communication skills and adaptability. Despite setbacks, the experience allowed me to grasp my appreciation for research roles and advocacy work. Switching gears to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity provided me with a collaborative environment and insights into my community. This reflection emphasizes the importance of experiential learning and the personal development that comes from it.
