Abstract
I spent the summer of 2024 interning at Women's Lunch Place, a day-time shelter providing meals, clothes, and other resources for unhoused women in Boston. The experience provided significant insight into the challenges and benefits of working in a shelter. This paper also addresses advice for making the most of a non-profit or community-based experience.
