Abstract
This summer, I worked as a Housing Development Intern at the Fifth Avenue Committee in Brooklyn, New York. The Fifth Avenue Committee is a nonprofit organization that builds and manages affordable housing for the local Brooklyn community. I sought out this internship because it aligned with my interest in housing and zoning policy, which I had developed through my coursework and personal research. In my role, I worked with the housing development team to manage the finance and development of various projects, including new housing developments, renovations, and RFPs.
