Abstract

This summer, I gained hands-on experience through an EMT course, clinical hours in the emergency department, and paramedic ride-alongs, which deepened my understanding of emergency medical services and clarified my career aspirations. While I initially explored emergency medicine, scrubbing into an orthopedic surgery confirmed that my passion lies in the operating room, where I now aim to focus my healthcare career.
