Abstract

Initially, I entered my Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) internship at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) curious about what corporate accountability looks like in a world full of sustainability concerns and climate change. While working through projects that engaged with this topic, I found myself growing immensely as a person and a professional throughout my nine-week summer internship. The following paper provides a deeper reflection of my summer, showcasing how I navigated some of my responsibilities and elaborating on my greatest takeaways from the ITW experience.
