Abstract
During the summer of 2025, I returned to my role as a child life volunteer at the Elliot Hospital in New Hampshire. I got to work alongside a team of five Certified Child Life Specialists (CCLS) on the pediatric floor, which included patient bedside visits and supervising the playroom. My time spent here was both rewarding and informative, but not necessarily what I expected when I signed up for the position.
