Abstract

This reflection paper explores my internship experience with The Soccer Tournament (TST), secured through support from Connecticut College’s Career Action Program and alumni network. The paper examines my learning objectives, including networking with peers, gaining insight into large-scale event operations, and engaging in creative, meaningful work. The experience provided valuable professional connections and lessons in adaptability, but also revealed the toll of unsustainable hours, burnout, and the ethical shortcomings of unpaid internships.
