Abstract
I worked a 6-week summer internship at the Mohegan Tribal Historic Preservation Office. Most of the internship was spent working in the field, digging shovel test pits and looking for archaeological sites in places planned for construction. When we weren't digging, we were cleaning, identifying, and cataloging artifacts. The artifacts that we cleaned and cataloged were both excavated in the field and from collections donated to the Tantaquidgeon Museum. Coworkers had varying levels of archaeological/curatorial experience. I would recommend this internship to anybody in the museum studies certificate program or any archaeology concentration major.
