Abstract

This reflection describes my summer completing my EMT certification in Connecticut. It includes both classroom, laboratory, and ambulatory experiences. I was able to complete both psychomotor (practical) and cognitive (written) examinations to become a certified EMT in Connecticut, as well as gain experience on an ambulance through ride-along work. This process made me eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam and the completion of that allows for me to practice as an EMT in the state of Connecticut.
