Abstract

This paper reflects on my summer internship with Small Haul Movers in South Boston, where I worked from June to August. My role combined physical labor with logistical coordination, including managing crews, directing routes, and ensuring efficient, professional moves. The fast-paced environment strengthened my leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills while deepening my interest in logistics and operations management. I learned how to adapt under pressure, motivate teams, and handle client relationships effectively. This experience clarified my professional goals, confirming my interest in careers that integrate strategic planning with hands-on execution. Overall, the internship was transformative, equipping me with skills and insights that will support both my academic pursuits and future career in logistics, project management, or operations.
