Abstract

Last summer, I had an opportunity to reprise a shadowing experience at Batumi Republican Clinical Hospital (BRCH), located in the country of Georgia. My work at BRCH for the summer of 2025 marked my second year at the clinic, working in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Units. Within the framework of the supervision, I got to experience multiple aspects of daily lives of healthcare providers: from shadowing them during planned surgeries, to attending weekly departmental conferences and analyzing medical histories, I can say with confidence that I got significant, well-rounded insights into the working environment of the hospital. In this paper, I reflect on my general experience and highlight key takeaways from the program.
