Abstract

This paper is my reflection on my summer internship teaching Spanish at a boarding school in New Hampshire. It was a big change for me, since I had never been in that kind of environment before, and I had to balance teaching, supervising the dorms, and taking on administrative work. Through this experience, I learned a lot about time management, collaboration, flexibility, and how to accept and use feedback. I also realized how important it is for me to find a healthy work-life balance. My classes at Connecticut College helped me connect different subjects and bring creativity into my teaching. Most importantly, this internship helped me see more clearly that I want to become a medical social worker, since I really enjoyed supporting students while also taking on professional responsibilities. Overall, it was a challenging but very rewarding experience.
