Abstract

This paper relays my reflection upon a semester internship at the Old Mystic History Center, a community led local history center in which I spent 6 months working on their Oral History project entitled "Memory Bank". This project and its archive includes copies of audio and video recordings of interviews from the late 70s/80s to this past year, featuring community members of Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island with meaningful stories about or having left impacts on the community. My work included transcription, data sorting, historical analysis, and collaboration with a team of employees and volunteers within the oral history subsection of the Center's projects.
