Abstract
This reflection covers my summer 2026 internship with the Hard Assets team at VanEck, an investment management firm in New York. My two main projects were initiating coverage of Methanex, the world's largest methanol producer, and building a regression framework linking economic and commodity variables to reported financial line items.
