Abstract

This summer I completed an in-person EMT certification course at Tufts University. I was able to learn from a retired paramedic as well as Tufts students who work as EMTs. I was also able to collaborate and make connections with other pre-health students who wanted to be in the emergency medical field or just the medical field in general. This course prepared me for and allowed me to pass the practical portion of the NREMT exam and gave me the tools to study for the written portion of the NREMT exam.
