Abstract

This summer I completed a directing internship at Theatermakers of Today, a theater production company founded by Conn alum Giuseppe Piccirilli. Through this internship, I co-directed and co-starred in a new play written by Sitara Effat Ahangari, another Conn alum. Though the process was unconventional, we developed a beautiful, thought-provoking play centering around the question of what it means to be human. I learned about the principles of directing and performing and discovered more about my artistic process.
