Abstract
This summer I was part of the Summer Science Research Institute (SSRI) here at Connecticut College. As part of the summer 2026 cohort, I was one of 6 undergraduate interns who had the opportunity to be in Dr. Maria Rosa's marine conservation lab. Throughout the summer, I conducted field and lab based research in ongoing eelgrass restoration, invertebrate physiology, and living shoreline monitoring research projects. I learned valuable fieldwork skills and knowledge that I can draw from as I pursue graduate studies.
