Abstract

This paper reflects on my experience returning to Camp Dudley as a Camp Leader after previously attending as a camper. It discusses the leadership, communication, patience, organization, and conflict-resolution skills I developed while working with younger campers. The experience also helped me connect my Psychology and Sociology studies to my future career interests in counseling or social work. Overall, my summer at Camp Dudley allowed me to grow both personally and professionally while giving back to a community that had a meaningful impact on me.
