Abstract

This reflection examines my experience as a Data Engineering Intern in The Hartford’s Technology and Operations Internship Program. During the internship, I worked with the Generative AI team within Enterprise Data Services on systems supporting The Hartford’s Claim Status application. My work exposed me to data and cloud technologies, such as Snowflake, AWS, SQL, and Python, while also working with Agile development methods. This internship connected my computer science coursework at Connecticut College to large-scale production systems in a professional setting. Overall, this experience built upon my technical and programming skills through real world project work.
