Abstract
The world has been forced to shut down and adjust to living in a pandemic. This “new normal” has saved many lives, but what has it done to our economy? When the world “shut down,” many people lost their livelihoods or were forced to work from home. While this change may have benefited technology sectors, we must examine the implications for industries dependent on in-person consumer engagement and interactions. I am interested in exploring how COVID-19 has impacted the fashion industry. In this paper I will investigate the market response to the pandemic and emerging trends.
