Abstract
My responsibilities while working with Fertility Within Reach included broadening our Banking on the Future program to include transgender people, which involved research, outreach to our existing cryobank partners and potential new cryobanks, and the creation of a new application form for our program. I also composed a document reporting on all 50 states current legislation regarding insurance and health care policies and if they include mandatory coverage for infertility treatment. This information is currently being uploaded to our website. I have also been in the process of reaching out to various college clubs to see if they would be interested in working with us and fundraising for our Banking on the Future program. Furthermore, I have assisted my boss (the President of the organization) in working on her presentation for the American Bar Association by researching coalition building strategies and editing her presentation outline. Finally, most recently I have compiled a list of LGBTQ+ college clubs in Connecticut in preparation for our new project: a presentation/curriculum on the health care disparities that exist for LGBTQ+ parents while family building.
