Abstract

This past summer, I worked as a Child Life Specialist intern at the Jimmy Fund Clinic in Boston, MA. The Jimmy Fund Clinic is responsible for providing compassionate outpatient care to pediatric patients and their families. As an intern, my role was to ease patients and their families through treatment using distraction, therapeutic play, and art-based activities. Although modifications had to be made to the internship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this internship to future students.
