Abstract

I interned on Connecticut College’s Sprout Garden (Micro Farm) where we partnered with FRESH New London to grow produce for weekly CSA shares, learned about sustainable community agriculture practices and also managed the upkeep of the farm. Weekly responsibilities included: weeding, cultivating, watering, harvesting, learning about food justice, creating a weekly newsletter for CSA members, and helping set up and attend weekly community markets (farmers market).
