Abstract
In the summer of 2022, I was a student in the “Siena Summer - Tradition & Cuisine in Tuscany” program. This program is led by IES Abroad, which is a study abroad organization that educates students to become global leaders through premier study abroad and internship programs, which offer students worldwide experiential learning opportunities that set the highest standards of academic quality. I took two courses during my 6 weeks in Siena. One was on the Palio, the city’s historic annual horse race, and one course was on the culture and cuisine of Siena and the surrounding areas of Tuscany.
