Abstract
I completed research with Dr. James Martone at the VA West Haven, CT. I found this opportunity through a parent and shadowing the physician for a summer prior to conducting research. The research consisted of a retroactive chart review determining the prevalence of visual field defects in patients diagnosed with sleep apnea and glaucoma. With the research team, I completed the application forms in order to obtain IRB approval, as well as, coordinate schedules, training, and other documentation.
